Concrete Industry Management - Sales Intern

As a Sales Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the ready-mix concrete industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, while working closely with seasoned professionals in the field.

Responsible For:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Research potential clients, competitors, and market trends.
    • Analyze data to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
  • Lead Generation:
    • Assist in identifying and qualifying sales leads through various channels.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to build and maintain a robust lead pipeline.
  • Sales Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including the preparation of sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
    • Attend client meetings and industry events to gain exposure to customer interactions.
  • CRM Management:
    • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to organize and track sales activities.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address inquiries, and provide information about our ready-mix concrete products and services.
    • Assist in building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with clients.

What we are looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in the Concrete Industry Management Program at South Dakota State University
  • Familiarity with all commonly used computer software (MS OfficeSuite, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A basic understanding of sales principles and techniques is a plus.
